Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind is shortlisted for Community Organisation of the Year!
We’re incredibly proud to share some exciting news: Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind has been named a finalist in the Coventry & Warwickshire Business and Community Awards 2026.
We’ve been shortlisted for The Not-for-Profit Champion | Community Organisation of the Year Award, proudly sponsored by Coventry Building Society. This recognition means so much to us and reflects the dedication, compassion and commitment shown by our staff, volunteers, partners and supporters across our communities.
A year of growth, impact and transformation
Being shortlisted comes at a truly special time in our journey. Following the merger of Coventry and Warwickshire Mind with South Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind, and as we celebrate 60 years of supporting mental health, the past year has been one of our most impactful to date.
In the last year alone, we supported 42,490 people across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. This is a 24% increase on the previous year. Behind every number is a person, a family, and a story of hope. From children and young people to adults, families and employees, we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure mental health support is accessible, inclusive and person-centred.
Our services span residential and intensive recovery support, crisis and drop-in hubs, talking therapies delivered in partnership with the NHS, school-based suicide prevention workshops, outreach support, and specialist projects supporting diverse and marginalised communities.
Powered by people and partnerships
Our work would not be possible without our incredible community. This year, 79 volunteers gave over 4,000 hours of their time, truly forming the heartbeat of our organisation. Alongside this, our partners across the voluntary, statutory and corporate sectors have helped us extend our reach and deepen our impact.
We’re also proud of the innovation at the heart of our work – from adopting new technologies to improve access and reduce waiting times, to trialling inclusive tools such as multilingual devices and VR, and embedding trauma-informed practice across our services.
Why this recognition matters
The Not-for-Profit Champion Award celebrates organisations that demonstrate excellence, impact and strong community values. To be recognised as a finalist is a powerful endorsement of our mission: to change lives and improve mental health across our communities.
It recognises not just what we’ve achieved in the past year, but the legacy of care, resilience and courage built over six decades – and our commitment to doing even more in the years ahead.
Join us in celebrating
The winners will be announced at the Coventry & Warwickshire Business and Community Awards Ceremony on 23 April 2026, and we’re honoured to be standing alongside so many inspiring organisations from across the region.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, believed in our work, and helped make this possible. This moment belongs to all of you.
