Steven has worked for Coventry and Warwickshire Mind since 1994. For the past 18 years, he has been a member of the Senior Management Team, with responsibility for ongoing contract negotiation and managing a large portfolio of services, including IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies), Supporting Accommodation and Floating Support provisions.

Steven was appointed as joint CEO in February 2018, becoming sole CEO in January 2020.

Alethea (Leeya) Balbuena

Alethea (Leeya) has worked at Coventry and Warwickshire Mind since 1999 and has held various positions during her 23 years working for the organisation. She started her career as a Support Worker within adult mental health services and later went on to work as a housing officer before moving to the Children and Young People’s Service as Service Manager. Building on the great work that had already been started, she helped to shape the service from around 200 young people attending each year to over 2,000 being part of the service today.

In 2013, Leeya successfully secured a position as Senior Operational Manager, overseeing services delivered across Coventry and Warwickshire; Day Services, Recovery Academy, Wellbeing Hubs, Syrian Resettlement, and Children and Young People’s.

Most recently, in 2017, Leeya secured the position of Director of Operations and hopes to bring the wealth of knowledge and experience she gained working in the grass roots to the Senior Management Team.

Outside of work, Leeya loves family time, has a passion for all of the things that motivate growth; days out with family, long distance running, time with friends, spiritual development and generally squeezes the most from each day given.
