On 30 September, staff and volunteers attended a Pride event at two local venues in Coventry The Yard and Glamorous.
As well as great entertainment and talented artists, the day included important messaging for community support groups, including Corsairs Rugby, Out in Coventry, Outspoken, Prism, NHS Talking Therapies and NHS Sexual Health Team. Our team was on hand across both venues to speak to people about how to look after their mental health and how we can support individuals across the area.
Dee, Team Leader, said, ‘recognising the value in improving accessibility for mental health information, this event has enabled collaborative working with Coventry and Warwickshire Mind, building bridges to increase visibility and accessibility to different communities in the area’.
Following the event, both venues continue to display information about our services, helping LGBTQ+ individuals and their supporters access the support available, when they need it.
