A memorial fundraising charity day was held on 20 July for a young man from Coventry who sadly took his own life in 2023. The day was celebrating the life of Shai, a popular and much-loved member of Pinley RFC Coventry.
Organisers Lorisa and Natasha, friends of the family, said our boys and girls wanted to come together to create a fun day in memory of Shai. The day was held at Pinley RFC. There was a rugby match, dancing, head shaves, waxing of backs, cuddle a ferret, an auction, 2 raffles, stalls, food and we were there supporting people with the wellbeing vehicle.
This was a very special day to honour Shai’s memory and support the local community. The funds raised will contribute to a headstone, a memorial thinking bench for Shai’s memory to ‘live on forever’ and Coventry and Warwickshire Mind.
