Every penny has a purpose
The charity remains financially resilient, but rising costs continue to put pressure on budgets without a matching uplift in contract values. In 2024–2025, we have seen reserves reduce, reflecting the wider challenges across the sector. While a small number of contracts have increased, most remain static, and uplifts have not been sufficient to offset inflationary pressures. It is also important to note that one-off financial gifts from the merger may skew year-to-year comparisons.
Our gender pay gap is 3.12%, which means that for every £1 earned by a man, a woman earns 96.88p.
The increase in the minimum wage ensured that all employees earned at least £21,000 FTE. This resulted in a significant salary increase for some staff of 9.7%.
Looking forward
Plans for our developments remain on track, with progress at Berry Mews moving forward as scheduled. We are actively seeking corporate sponsorship to support Berry Mews, helping us to create welcoming, high-quality spaces that will strengthen our services and benefit the people we support for years to come.
