What happens when you mix a classic comedy, a spirited local cast and a cause close to the heart?
You get Blithe Spirit by Noël Coward at The Saints Drama Group, five unforgettable nights of laughter, theatre, and community support at Allesley Village Hall this May.
Directed by the brilliant Peter and Andrea Daly-Dickson, this hilarious production had audiences laughing out loud from 13–17 May 2025. And even better? It was all in support of Mental Health Awareness Week.
A night of comedy with heart
The Saints put their own delightful twist on Coward’s beloved ghostly farce, following the chaos that unfolds when novelist Charles Condomine invites a medium to his home, only to accidentally summon the spirit of his mischievous first wife.
With sharp wit, surprise appearances, and plenty of spectral sass, Blithe Spirit was a hit from start to finish.

Over £219.67 raised for Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind during the show’s run

A powerful reminder of how the arts can spark community, conversation, and compassion
Theatre with a purpose

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme was Community, and The Saints embodied that spirit both on and off stage. Their commitment to using art as a way to raise awareness for mental health is something we’re incredibly grateful for and excited to see continue.
