Supporting people through difficult moments is part of their everyday work. But for Katie Jenks and her fellow mental health therapists, their latest team challenge involved a rather different setting: mud, water and 10 kilometres of obstacles.

The five-strong team took on the Wolf Run for Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind, bringing a cause close to their hearts onto the course.

“As a team of mental health therapists, choosing to support CWW Mind felt really meaningful to us, through our work, we see every day how important it is for people to have access to the right support when they need it.”

For Katie, that connection goes further. Having worked closely with CWW Mind, she has seen first-hand the difference our services make within local communities.

Their challenge formed part of our 60 for 60 campaign, marking our 60th anniversary with the ambition of bringing together 60 fundraisers to raise £60,000 for local mental health support.

Out on the course, teamwork carried them through.

“The Wolf Run was an amazing experience. It was challenging, very muddy and full of laughs. We worked together through every obstacle, kept each other going and had such a brilliant day as a team.”

That shared effort will help support people well beyond the finish line. Funds raised will contribute to our mental health services across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire, helping us continue to be there for people who need someone to turn to.

“Knowing that the money raised will help CWW Mind continue the incredible work they do made every muddy mile worth it.”

Thank you to Katie, her teammates and everyone who supported them – for getting stuck in and helping local people feel less alone.
