Wellbeing For Warwickshire organised a mindful walk through Riversley Park, Nuneaton to celebrate Walking Awareness Month in May. Thirteen staff and service users followed a trail around the park, encouraging one another to stop and take notice of their surroundings, allowing for a mindful experience.

Many of the service users have knowledge and experience of flora and fauna and shared this with the group. It was a great opportunity for service users to chat along the way with new faces and take in the wonderful scenery. Of great interest were the friendly ducks who surrounded us at one point, no doubt looking for their next piece of bread! ‘Fish a plenty’ were spotted along the river and allowed us all to stop and listen to the sounds of the park which was incredibly restful! The weather held out and umbrellas stayed closed – an added bonus!
