This month, our LGBTQIA+ wellbeing support group at our drop-in wellbeing hub in Coventry embraced a touch of spookiness creativity by painting pumpkin tealight holders.
The group regularly combines craft activities with discussions about identity and the LGBTQIA+ community, and this spooky session added a fun, seasonal twist. From classic pumpkins to quirky doodles, and even a pink banana pumpkin, everyone brought their own creative style to the table.
But beyond the paints and tealights, the group offers something deeper. Each session provides a welcoming space for individuals to reflect on how their month has been, share experiences, and find support among others who understand. For two hours, the room fills with conversation, laughter and genuine connection – a reminder of how creativity and community can nurture wellbeing.
As we move into the shorter days of autumn, we’re looking forward to welcoming LGBTQIA+ individuals to our final two sessions of the year:
8th November, 10:30am–12:30pm
6th December 2025, 10:30am–12:30pm
If you’re looking for a safe, supportive and creative space to connect, we’d love to see you there.
