This World Mental Health Day, we’re delighted to launch the “Be Kind, It’s Christmas” cup campaign in partnership with Purple Planet Packaging.

For every case of cups sold this winter, £2 will be donated directly to Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind. The funds raised will go straight into our local services, from phone lines and one-to-one support to community groups and wellbeing hubs, helping us support thousands of people across the region.

Winter can be a particularly challenging time for mental health. Shorter days, colder weather and the pressures of the holiday season can affect anyone’s wellbeing. That’s why campaigns like this are so important;  they help us ensure people have access to the support they need, when they need it most.

Last year alone, we supported over 42,000 children, young people and adults across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. Every cup sold this winter will help us continue offering a safe space for people to talk, find help, and feel understood, especially during the months when loneliness, stress and low mood can be at their peak.

The cups themselves carry a simple but powerful message: be kind. We hope they’ll spark conversations in cafés, workplaces and community spaces, reminding people to check in with themselves and with those around them this festive season.

You can get involved in the campaign in a few simple ways: buy the cups for your business, café or workplace; share the message of kindness and connection with your community; or donate directly via the JustGiving page.

A huge thank you to Purple Planet Packaging, Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, Hits Radio and BBC CWR for their support in helping us spread this message far and wide.

This festive season, let’s use the cups to spark conversation, support mental health and remind each other that help is always available.
