On an unusually hot Wednesday in June, Coventry Hearsall Golf Club opened its doors to professionals across the region as they attended Coventry and Warwickshire Mind’s corporate networking morning.

The day kicked off with Alethea, Deputy CEO/Director of Operations, introducing Coventry and Warwickshire Mind as a local mental health charity. Alethea was followed by staff from our training team, fundraising team and children and young people’s services, who all talked about the work they do and led some interactive sessions with the attendees, including a ‘day in the life of a service manager’.

Our guest speakers included Gus Bhandal, who gave a talk on AI in marketing, and David Smith (the Mindset Soldier), who spoke about his lived experience of mental health.

The day even saw a guest appearance from Emma the Elf, all the way from the North Pole! She talked about one of our favourite fundraisers, the ‘Mental Elf’ fun run taking place in December – more details soon!

The event was a great opportunity for people to hear about the work we do across the region and to chat with others about how we can work together to support the mental health of people living in Coventry and Warwickshire.

What did our attendees think?

Lorna, Business Support Manager at Coventry and Warwickshire Mind, said

“It was great to see so many local organisations supporting the work we do – looking forward to some great partnerships as a result!”

Stephanie, Head of Private Client at Askews Legal LLP, said

“The event was great on so many levels. I made some new connections and I was reminded how vital fundraising is for our local charity.”
