Angelina from Semper Security UK Ltd is The Yard’s first Mental Health First Aider©. Recently, she attended two days of Mental Health First Aid Training delivered by Coventry and Warwickshire Mind Workplace Training.
Angelina said, “I really enjoyed the course. It was delivered well, the trainer explained things clearly, and it has given me tools to support our customers. As a frontline team, we often have conversations with our customers, and I now feel more confident that I can offer some support to someone struggling with their mental health and signpost them to other services.
“Coventry and Warwickshire Mind Workplace training delivered the course really well and I found the scenarios especially useful, as it meant we could practise some of the learning from the course, which has helped me feel more confident. On completing the course, I now have access to support through Mental Health First Aid app for both myself as the Mental Health First Aider© and our customers, so I feel I will never be on my own.”
Coventry and Warwickshire Mind will also be at The Yard, Coventry on Saturday 6th July with a mental health pop-up from 7:30pm, providing a listening ear and signposting for further mental health support.
