On 9th September 2025, Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind was invited by the Warwickshire Police Health and Wellbeing Team to Warwickshire Police Headquarters at Leek Wootton to mark Emergency Workers Day.
Dee and volunteer drive, Neil, attended with our wellbeing resource vehicle, which helped provide increased visibility and accessibility throughout the event.
Warwickshire Police Health and Wellbeing Team also provided support and visibility, adding their expert knowledge of specialised support services for officers and staff
During the day we spoke with staff across all areas of Warwickshire Police, from administrative roles and new recruits to frontline officers. Many shared their stories and experiences, highlighting the wide range of pressures faced across the service. Alongside Warwickshire Police’s Health and Wellbeing teams, we were able to provide a multi-agency signposting pathway as well as practical everyday tools that support mental health and wellbeing.
We also welcomed the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with Chief Constable Alex Franklin-Smith and representatives from the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Office, reaffirming that mental health and wellbeing is a priority supported at the highest levels.
Emergency Workers Day is not just about celebration: it’s a reminder of the ongoing need for support and investment in wellbeing for those who serve on the frontline. Our collaboration with Warwickshire Police Health and Wellbeing Team highlights the value of open conversations, accessible resources and joined up action to ensure no one feels alone in managing the pressures of their role.
