On Wednesday 15 May, over 35 incredible staff members and their families from Elis’ Coventry site came together for a truly meaningful cause, walking 8.5km in the War Memorial Park to raise funds and awareness for mental health.
The event, aptly named Walking for Mind, was not only about putting one foot in front of the other; it was a heartfelt expression of solidarity and support. Many of the participants were walking to honour colleagues who have been affected by tragic personal events in recent months, and their compassion and unity were felt in every step.
The team completed three laps of the park, and, with each lap, the energy only grew stronger.
We are thrilled to share that the group raised a fantastic £912 in total. Every penny will go towards helping support more people across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire who are living with mental health challenges.
After the walk, everyone gathered for some well-earned refreshments in the park – a time to reflect, connect and celebrate what they had achieved together. The atmosphere was uplifting, full of smiles, hugs and a strong sense of accomplishment.
A huge thank you to each and every one of you who walked, donated or supported in any way. You are making a real difference and we are beyond grateful.
Well done all – we are so proud of you!
