Thursday 10 October is World Mental Health Day, and this year’s theme is prioritising mental health in the workplace.

The average person spends nearly a third of their life at work (Gettysburg), yet stress, burnout, and mental health struggles often go unnoticed. At Coventry and Warwickshire Mind, we’re working to change this.

We offer mental health support to our local community and, through our training programmes, we advocate for workplaces that prioritise mental wellbeing. Our aim is for everyone to feel valued, supported, and empowered in their workplace.

Together, we can create mentally healthy workplaces which benefit both employers and employees.

Mental health training benefits everyone. For employers, it has a significant impact on your recruitment. It contributes to your wellbeing offer, improves staff retention and helps attract new talent. It also supports your output, productivity, and creates a positive, creative environment that works in the interests of your customers.

For employees, a greater understanding of mental health from their employers improves open communication, creates stronger relationships between colleagues and supports them in managing stress. If they feel the company cares and is supportive of their wellbeing, there will be an improvement in their job satisfaction.

We’re here for you.

Whatever your background and however you need support – we want you to feel welcome and supported here in Coventry and Warwickshire. We provide clear advice and information from sources you can trust and we can help you to find support in outdoor spaces and in the home, in schools and in the workplace, and in the community.

We’re passionate about delivering mental health support in the community and the workplace. That’s why we’ve been working with McDonald’s in Coventry to support their staff and customers. Watch the video below to find out more:
