On Friday 27 September, our ‘Mind Allotments’ opened its doors and welcomed people across Coventry to see how being outdoors can help our wellbeing.
From delicious cakes, homemade jams, and freshly pressed apple juice made right in front of us from the allotment’s own apples, to a sizzling BBQ, it was a day packed with fun and community spirit. The craft stalls were a hit, especially the “make your own bird feeder” activity. Visitors also had the chance to buy fresh produce straight from the allotment.
It was wonderful to catch up with everyone outdoors (and thankfully, the rain held off!) while celebrating the incredible hard work of the staff and volunteers who make the allotment such a special place. A huge thank you to Rachael, Jackie, Kelly and all our amazing volunteers who organised such a fun day.
