On Saturday 29 June, Dee and Seline travelled down to London to join National Mind and other local Minds at the city’s annual Pride event.
Speaking about the event, Dee said:
“Alongside the fun and festival atmosphere that comes with Pride, Mind continued to campaign to ban conversion therapy. Personally, I found myself feeling extremely humbled by the reception from the crowds – we were cheered and acknowledged, at times with tears, by people who have received support, care and visibility from Mind services. The day was a reminder of why I feel so honoured to work for the Mind federation, but I know there is still so much more to be achieved.”
