Our 2022–2027 strategic business plan is to…

Our achievements

We expanded our out-of-hours crisis service, Safe Haven, increasing our impact across the region. We worked inclusively, increasing partnership working and co-production through our autism service, LGBTQIA+ refugee service, and young people’s advisory board. We shared our knowledge and experience with more external organisations, including at the national HSJ Integrated Care Summit, and expanded our quality standards to include environmental impact. We worked with other local Minds to launch a new local Mind in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We want to commend the learning culture in the charity. Coventry and Warwickshire Mind is clearly an organisation that strives to be self-aware, and to view challenges as opportunities for reflection and growth. In addition, the charity’s strong commitment to partnership working, collaboration, and influencing change at a strategic level should be celebrated.

We worked with services to ensure each one adopted a ‘no door is the wrong door’ approach and extended our support to more community spaces, including McDonald’s.

Looking forward

We are working towards being more diverse after securing three years of funding for our Young Black Men’s Project, helping us be more inclusive of racialised communities. We have also begun a courageous construction project after securing planning approval for a new build of 26 self-contained flats. We also want to continue to reach more rural communities with our community wellbeing vehicle.
